Extra Info

As I predicted, spikes in searches always corresponded with an upcoming or recent event. What surprised me was how few states are very concerned with floods and how many inland states would search up Tropical Cyclone even though they are at no risk of being hit by one.

In the compared breakdown by subregion, it is very clear that Tropical cyclones are very popular. They make up a decent-sized percentage of all searches in every state and especially popular in states that have been recently struck by a hurricane. Similarly, states like Alaska, California, and Oklahoma are all interested in earthquakes which tend to happen very often. Likewise, states in tornado alley often search about tornados and related topics.

Just as I had predicted, spikes in searches corresponded with a recent event. I was originally unaware of how much attention certain event gained as opposed to others.
